This app is so terribly designed. I'm really regretting my yearly subscription and hope you change it.
The old version was clunky and needed a revision. This is not good. The main defect is that it is no longer possible to enlarge the type and it even remains the same size when rotated to landscape mode. Please restore this ability. OTOH the prospect of completing the puzzles on screen may be useful.
The NE is the only European bias news pub' in the UK (with the possible exception of The Guardian). I seldom discuss reading the NE because of hostility, even from 'educated' individuals within my circle of acquaintances. I have found the New European subs' expensive; plus the mobile app a bit clunky and difficult to read (text size) when I've purchased one issue. Otherwise, a very necessary publication for balanced, informative reading.
Dreadful app, does not open where last visited. Cannot find a way to bookmark pages, and no reply from request for help. Content good but navigation tricky. Used to use on Readly, would be happy to pay sub and use it there again rather than this terrible app.
On my Android Lenovo tablet the app only uses half the screen! The unused part of the screen is white, and a large portion of the actual page is covered by the page selection strip. Useless. Now decided to work, but I don't trust it!
When app installed it asked permission to access my contacts! Why? Then asked to access my documents! Again, why? I immediately uninstalled.
Awful app don't know why it can't be fixed. The paper is brilliant I love it each week however the software is so old and almost useable. It makes reading good articles a pain in the neck. It is not stable jumpes from the paper view to text which I dislike. Often trying to move on causes paragraphs to disappear. Please please please fix it I am going insane. I read a free Spanish newspaper with a superb paper and flick page action. So why can't TNE get it right.
Cannot access any content without subscription. So no difference between premium and normal content.
